iMotion and HSAE Establish Joint Venture
Technology
iMotion and HSAE have officially signed a joint venture agreement, with both companies investing 50 million RMB to establish a new entity. This joint venture will focus on the integration of cockpit and driving systems, emphasizing the research, development, production, and sales of integrated solutions.
Currently, in mainstream automotive EE architectures, the cockpit domain and driving domain are controlled by two separate ECUs (Electronic Control Units). These units manage in-car entertainment and autonomous driving functionalities, respectively, and communicate through the vehicle's internal network. The cockpit-driving integration, however, combines these two domains into a single computing unit, breaking down the barriers between hardware and software. This allows for the development of new functionalities, enhances overall vehicle intelligence, and reduces costs through a centralized hardware architecture.
iMotion,a leading autonomous driving company, and HSAE, a top smart cockpit provider, will leverage their combined strengths in technological research, production, and customer channels. Together, the joint venture aims to deliver more valuable cockpit-driving integration solutions to the market.
